Landlord

My tenant has stopped paying their rent- what now?

In order for this to be registered in our system, you as the landlord or agent representing the landlord needs to issue a breach notice to your tenant/s that corresponds with your state or territory. We then register this in our system and the tenants will receive an immediate notice from multilist.com

What happens if my tenants are bad?

In the case that your tenant is bad you follow your standard procedure with your agent. You as the landlord or representing agent must issue a breach notice according to your state or territories residential laws. This must be the government documentation for your state. This then needs to be sent to us no later than 48 hours after it has been issued. We then register this in our system.

I already have a bond lodged with the state governing Bond authority, what now?

As per your approval to have us guarantee the bond for your property once you are approved by multilist.com you or your agent will need to lodge a bond refund directly back to the tenant. (you will need to file the correct documentation to have that bond returned to your tenants and send us a copy of the return lodgement. You can remove this last sentence no longer needed) There’s no need for it anymore!

What makes this better than a normal bond?

Put simply get your money now. Did you know that in Victoria alone there is upto a 1 year backlog on some bond claims with VCAT?
